The Sydney Sock Project was founded in 2018 with a desire to make a difference to the Australian communities in need by transforming an everyday essential into a cheerful and fun experience. We provide a donation to Books in Homes and other selected charities for every pair of socks purchased.
We are incredibly grateful to partner with Books in Homes and to improve the lives of disadvantaged children through education. Early literacy engagement and the development of reading skills is crucial for lifelong achievement. Our partnership aims to overcome the inequality of educational opportunities in communities where access to books for families is limited or non-existent.
Our mission is to provide an entire school in rural Australia with a whole years’ worth of educational supplies including the following essential items per child:
