I am raising funds for the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic Association and the Arrow Foundation, whose work supports medical researchers in finding better treatments for diseases treatable by bone marrow transplants, as well as bone marrow transplant patients and those who care for them.
First held in 1977, the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic is a 111km canoe race organised to raise money for medical research.
I am taking on the 30km Sackville Sprint in my trusty Pueo OC1, “Bumble”, as my first attempt at this legendary race. I’m doing this to raise funds for a worthy cause, challenge myself, and build towards completing the full 111km race in future years.
I would be very grateful for your support through a donation via this CrowdRaiser page. In return, I promise to share the experience with you — hopefully with a some interesting footage of the race from the water!
