About this cause

Community Investment Projects are a critical aspect of providing holistic care to the most vulnerable.

Life Centre Facilities

Life Centres are spaces for children, their care givers, and volunteer Care Workers to gather safely, come rain or shine.  Life Centres require kitchen structures for cooking, covered eating shelters, safe toilets and spaces for the Care Workers, Youth, 6-12 year old's and Under 5 year old children to meet in, providing a place of belonging and care for the most vulnerable in the community.  Life Centres

Community Gardens

Community Gardens are one way Hands at Work builds resilience and sef-sustainability into our Care Workers, Primary Caregivers and their families. Crops harvested from the gardens can be used to feed the most vulnerable children who are coming to the Care Point, with the profits going back to those involved in growing the garden.  Alternatively, the harvested crops are shared amongst the individuals involved, and can either be used to eat or to sell in the local markets. Home Repairs

Some of the most vulnerable families are living in homes that do not provide shelter from bad weather or are not secure from animals or other intruders.  Replacing windows and doors, reinforcing walls and the roof, and added security such as locks improve the health, safety and well-being of families.  In some cases, Hands at Work will build an entire secure new house, for the most vulnerable families. "Today, my seven grandchildren and I are able to sleep protected and well covered because previously, after the house fell, we were almost sleeping outside.  We are now safe.  May God bless you so you can continue blessing others who are in similar situations as us."

Thankyou for helping to invest in projects critical to providing holistic care to the most vulnerable.
