The Harrow Bush Nursing Centre is a unique organisation that forms part of a group of Bush Nursing Centres across victoria who provide responsive and flexible non bed-based quality primary and community health services.
Harrow is a remote community in the West Wimmera of Victoria which has existed without the support of infrastructures such as an acute hospital, ambulance, resident medical support and public transport. The farming district specialises in wool, beef and cereal cropping. The Harrow Bush Nursing Centre has been providing vital health servies to the community for over 100 years. The Centre is something of which the Harrow community is justifiably proud. Offering current medical facilities and serviecs, it is not just a place for the ill to be treated, but acts also as a community Centre, adding to the quality of life of everyone in Harrow and surrounding district, from newborns to the elderly. It is viewed as a community Centre by the local population. We gratefully recieve all support including donations, bequests and sponsorship to assist us in continuing this vital service.
