What is Plant Hope?
At the heart of the campaign are our Plant Hope gloves. By planting seeds, tending gardens, and wearing purple, we honour those we’ve lost, support those living with MBC, and work toward a future of better treatments and outcomes. Each pair of gloves represents awareness, support, and hope taking root in our community.
Our Why – Angela’s Story
Angela believed in finding simple, meaningful ways to bring people together and raise awareness of metastatic breast cancer. She dreamed up the idea of purple gloves as a symbol of hope—something anyone could connect with, share, and grow with.
Angela sadly passed away in December 2024, but through Plant Hope we honour her vision and continue planting hope for everyone living with MBC.
Plant Hope Gloves
Join us in planting hope. Purchasing a pair of Plant Hope gloves is a simple way to show your support - every pair sold helps raise awareness and funds for people living with MBC.
Host a Plant Hope Garden Party
You can also register to host a Plant Hope Garden Party, bringing together friends, family, or colleagues to plant, connect, and collect donations. Together, we honour those we’ve lost, support those living with MBC, and work toward a future of better treatments and outcomes. Hosting a Plant Hope Garden Party is a beautiful way to raise awareness and funds while creating moments of connection. Whether you host in your backyard, workplace, or community space, your event will help Plant Hope grow across Australia.
When you register, you’ll receive resources to make it simple — including posters, social media tiles, and ideas to inspire your event. Gather your community, plant something meaningful, and be part of a movement that supports those living with MBC.
Set-up your own CrowdRaiser
Alternatively, you could set-up your own CrowdRaiser, here on GiveNow, and use it to share your story and why you believe change is needed.
Guidance and images to help you do this are available on our Plant Hope page at MBC Action Australia
